The internship program is a learning opportunity aimed at attracting talented young men and women who have strong incentives to share their new perspectives, innovative ideas and latest research experiences in the fields in which FAO operates.
The internship program provides selected students, who are enrolled in a university or postgraduate educational program or who have recently graduated, the opportunity to complement their academic knowledge with practical experience in a field relevant to the work of the organization. It will enable them to gain a better understanding of the organization’s mandate and programs. At the same time, this program provides the Organization with the assistance of competent individuals specializing in areas related to the Organization’s strategic objectives and the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals

Eligibility requirements for the Internship Program at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) FAO:
Nationality: Candidates must be from one of the member states or the aforementioned.
Academic achievement: Candidates must be students enrolled in a university or postgraduate educational program at an accredited educational institution when the application is submitted, or they must be recent graduates.
Languages: Candidates must have working knowledge of at least one of the official languages of the organization, which is either Arabic, English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese or Russian. Knowledge of a second official language of the organization would be an advantage.
Age: Candidates should be between 21 and 30 years old at the start of the internship (meaning that training should start before the candidate reaches the age of thirty-one years).
Skills: Candidates should be able to adapt to an international, multicultural environment, possess good communication skills, and be proficient in the use of basic computer programs.
Do not have any relatives working for the United Nations.
