1- The merit-based scholarship, which is the Tamim Scholarship:
It is a scholarship based on merit and academic excellence; It is intended for the most distinguished Qatari and international students in Qatar and the Arab world.
The scholarship covers 100% of the prescribed tuition fees for students according to each program for Qatari students and residents of the State of Qatar.

Monthly allowances for the student determined by the institute.
One-way tickets from the country of recruitment and back at the end of the study period.

2- The scholarship based on students’ financial need, which is a (SANAD) grant:
It is a scholarship based on students’ financial need. It is intended for Qatari and international students and residents of Qatar.
The scholarship covers 100% of the prescribed tuition fees for students according to each program for international students, and its benefits include:
100% tuition fee coverage.
100% coverage of university housing fees at the institute.
Monthly allowances for the student determined by the institute.
One-way tickets from the country of recruitment and back at the end of the study period.
Health insurance under the umbrella of the Primary Health Care Corporation for those who prove that they do not have other insurance.
As for students residing in the State of Qatar
The scholarship covers from 10% to 100% of the prescribed tuition fees for students according to each program:
Students produce income certificates for themselves and their breadwinner.
Students who do not have jobs give evidence of not working. General conditions for the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies scholarship:
1- It is not permissible for any student to combine between the institute’s scholarships and any other scholarship, whatever its source.
2- The institute’s scholarships will not continue to be used except for students who have good academic standing. The institute has the right, according to procedures it determines, to withdraw scholarships from students who violate this condition.
3- Students enrolled in executive master’s programs, diplomas, or specialized certificates do not benefit from the scholarships offered by the Institute. They can benefit from foreign sponsorship grants according to the terms of each grant.
4- Students who have previously benefited from the same scholarships in a period prior to studying in any of the institute’s programs shall not benefit from the scholarships offered by the Institute. Whether this is crowned with a degree or not.
Documents required to apply for:
- A copy of the passport
- Transcripts for the Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Final year students submit all transcripts up to the date of application.
- Graduation certificate / attestation if the student has already graduated.
- An updated CV in Arabic
- An official statement from the university that English is the language of instruction during the undergraduate stage. English is the language of instruction in the absence of an IELTS certificate
- Personal letter of 1000 words
- Academic Writing Form (only for applicants for the College of Social Sciences and Humanities, Conflict Management, Humanitarian Work, and Critical Security Studies programs)
Steps to apply for the scholarship:
- The applicant creates a personal account on the system.
- Each applicant is allowed to submit only one admission application, and repeated applications for more than one program will not be considered.
- The applicant can fill out the acceptance form in several sessions, keeping the changes at the end of each session.
- The applicant completes the form and uploads all the required documents.
- The applicant requests the recommendation letters electronically through the same system.
- The recommenders receive an e-mail that enables them to access and submit the recommendation form.
- The applicant can check the delivery of recommendation letters. Important notes on the scholarship:
It is not required that your Bachelor’s major is related to the required Master’s field.
It should not pass 5 years since the applicant graduated from the Bachelor’s level.
Students expected to graduate this summer can register for the scholarship.
The English language is not required in the following majors only: (history, sociology, philosophy)
Married couples cannot bring their spouses until after completing their studies and transferring their residency from student residence to work.
